Kelley Blue Book announces the “coolest” cars for less than $25,000
When you start looking for a new car, there are many fun yet affordable vehicles to choose from, and this is imperative for those who are looking to take out a new or used car loan before their search begins. Kelley Blue Book recently announced the top 10 "coolest" cars that are priced under $25,000. Editors of Kelley Blue Book drove and reviewed every new vehicle to determine which were the most fun for the best prices.
Taking the top spot was the 2012 Scion FR-S. This two-door vehicle is complete with a full fun-driving experience – from the high-revving engine to a sleek appearance, it can hang with cars that cost twice as much. The 2013 Ford Focus ST came in right behind the Scion for its 252 horsepower on tap and its 2.0-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine. This car is among the most popular in America due to its ability to keep up with the best of them. The 2013 MINI Cooper Coupe, 2013 Jeep Wrangler and 2013 Volkswagen GTI rounded out the top five. The MINI Cooper earned its spot for its stellar reputation and fun driving experience, whereas the Jeep is perfect for those who want to go off the beaten path. The Volkswagen was selected because it mixes fun with practicality.
The bottom half of the top 10 started with the 2013 Ford Mustang, which came in at number six due to the fact that this American classic is still popular – and enjoyable to drive. The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro took seventh, and there are a number of reasons why this car was included in the top 10 such as its overall aesthetically pleasing appearance to its 323-horsepower direct-injection V6 with a six-speed manual transmission and a six-speaker audio system.
The list finished off with the 2013 Mazda Miata MX-5, 2013 Toyota Prius c and the 2013 Dodge Dart. Mazda took number eight for its amazing appearance that is perfect for public roads. Even though others have more power, this one is just fun. The Prius took the next spot for appealing to the eco-friendly individuals, as it mixes exceptional city fuel economy with a starting price of $20,000. The Dodge took high style and mixed it with practicality for a fun, cool – and affordable – ride.
Using lists like this can be a great way to begin the search for the perfect ride. Knowing the price range for the type of cars they want can also help car shoppers to determine how much they'll need when they apply for their car loans.
